Role: Java Technical Manager
Location: Piscataway, NJ
Job Description:
We are looking for a Technology Managers to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications. This role combines technical leadership, team management, solution architecture, and delivery ownership to build scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with strong expertise in Microservices, Cloud (AWS/Azure), and Agile delivery, capable of guiding distributed teams while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders.
The Role
Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership
  • Lead solution design, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making.
  • Drive best practices in software engineering, code quality, security, and performance.
  • Guide teams in developing cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices.
  • Mentor engineers and technical leads on architecture, design patterns, and modern engineering practices.
  • Delivery Management
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple projects and releases.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize work and meet business objectives.
  • Track delivery progress, dependencies, risks, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery within scope and budget.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams

  • Support hiring, performance management, and career development initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management

Requirements:
  • 12-15+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3-5+ years leading engineering teams and technical delivery.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Java, Spring Boot

    • AWS and/or Azure Cloud
    • SQL/NoSQL Databases
    • Kafka or Event-Driven Architectures
    • Containerized services
    • CI/CD and DevOps practices
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
