D3 Air and Space Operations has an opening for an Applications Development Analyst at Tallahassee, FL.Estimated Start Date: 1 July 26 General Characteristics Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget

Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.

Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies. Dimensions Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of programming/systems analysis experience. Complexity: Intermediate professional level role. Develops solutions requiring analysis and research.

Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a project team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach more junior technical staff.

Job Description: The Candidate will work under the supervision of the Department's Contract Manager, under the Bureau of Engineering. The Contractor's personnel shall work on project tasks that include but are not limited to: Assisting internal and external customers to produce detailed functional requirements of system components to be programmed. Efficiently programming modules for use in and by the CSAB whether it be a new module or an upgrade to existing functionality.

Providing assistance to community developers to facilitate additional application submissions and build out the shared development community. Assisting in software configurations as required supporting the organizations development needs and schedule. Monitoring and assisting in tuning systems for greatest performance.

Acting as liaison with hosting provider to ensure environment is optimized for application performance. Providing planning and technical support for migration activities. Providing assistance to ensure the security of deployed applications.

Providing technical documentation of work performed in standard project team format. Identifying potential areas where existing applications require change, or where new applications need to be developed. Performing maintenance activities on current production applications.

Migrating services from the premise based CSAB systems to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) based CSAB system.
