Job description

Position Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

● Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

● Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

● Design and implement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

● Responsible for accurate processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis, as well as all other payroll related issues.

● Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

● Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

● Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

● Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.

● Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to support decision-making in talent acquisition, retention, engagement, and compensation.

● Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

● Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

● Excellent interpersonal , negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with employees, vendors, and customers.

● Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Strong analytical and problem solving skills

● Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

● Expert in Microsoft Office or Google equivalent programs (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

● Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

● Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

● ·A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ verifiable progressive experience in Human Resource management.

● Certified as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is a plus.

Preferred Skills and Education:

● Payroll administration

● ADP HRIS experience
