Job description

At Vicar’s Landing, our Inventory Controller plays a key role in keeping our community running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll help ensure our Maintenance team has the right tools, materials, and supplies—right when they need them.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and making a real impact on day-to-day operations. From managing inventory to finding cost-saving opportunities, your work helps support the entire campus and the exceptional service we provide to our residents.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily inventory operations for maintenance supplies, tools, equipment, and materials
  • Track and maintain accurate inventory records using systems, spreadsheets, and purchasing platforms
  • Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming deliveries and verify against purchase orders
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively reorder to prevent shortages while managing costs
  • Partner with maintenance leadership on planning, forecasting, and preventive maintenance needs
  • Maintain organized stockrooms and implement efficient storage and tracking processes
  • Conduct routine counts, cycle counts, and annual inventory audits to ensure accuracy
  • Track equipment usage and maintain accountability for tools and assets
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate products and vendor performance
  • Prepare purchase requests and support procurement of supplies and materials
  • Generate reports on inventory usage, spending trends, and department needs
  • Support emergency preparedness and inventory readiness initiatives
  • Assist with work order tracking and updates within TheWorxHub system
