Inventory Control Supervisor, Crayola Experience Orlando, FL.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the annual inventory metrics and maintaining optimal inventory levels, including verification of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is also responsible for establishing and tracking critical supply chain metrics and identifying and addressing any issues/opportunities at the local level.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve monthly and seasonal productivity goals
  • Utilize inventory management tools/reporting to assess inventory position across all items carried
  • Responsible for data accuracy in the Convergence system
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of sales rates, inventory levels, and re-order lead times to identify any potential issues with insufficient or excess inventory at the local level
  • Place orders as required to ensure ongoing supply of products
  • In collaboration with the Merchandise Buyer and CE Supply Chain Manager, develop excess inventory action plans
  • Track performance against annual supply chain metrics on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the CE Supply Chain Manager to identify and resolve any issues and address opportunities for improvement – CE SOPs, corporate processes, systems/tools, etc.
  • Conduct cycle counting process, and ensure accurate inventory level tracking.
  • Ensure effective tracking of inventory loss – theft, damaged good handling and recording, etc
  • Verify and reconcile incoming/outgoing shipments and billing inconsistencies
  • Responsible for the management of the inventory control team
  • Provide floor support to Revenue Managers as needed, including operational coverage during peak times or staffing gaps
  • Provide professional guest interactions on the floor, addressing questions and concerns while promoting a positive guest experience
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty rotation and assume overall management responsibility across all departments as “Manager on Duty”

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree preferred, preferably with a concentration in business, supply chain or operations.
  • 3 years of inventory control experience preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • Prior retail experience preferred.
  • Must be flexible and available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills required
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented, ability to work independently
  • Position requires physical duties involving regularly lifting fixture parts and cartons weighing up to 40 pounds.
