Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates with the supervisors to assist with managing the daily activities in the warehouse..

  • Monitors the receiving, selection, and/ or loading of products to ensure the efficient flow of products in the warehouse.

  • Assists in observations, employee reviews, and disciplinary actions. Provides recommendations on hiring, performance review and disciplinary actions to warehouse supervisors.

  • Monitors and prioritizes order fulfillment.

  • Assists in investigating variances.

  • Assists in the administration function and record keeping for the department to include daily time and attendance, weekly action incentive input and scoring, preparing meetings, and analyzing error ratios.

  • Provides training for employees on job technique and/or safety requirements.

  • Serve in the function of employee or supervisor as appropriate.

  • Assists in resolving warehouse and/ or production floor issues, problems or conflicts.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and good organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.

  • Must have good leadership skills and a thorough understanding of warehouse and production operations.

  • Must have a basic understanding of DOT, OSHA, EEOC and other related regulatory agencies and laws

  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.

Equipment / Tools / Technology:

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, email, and internet software applications.

  • Must be able to operate a pallet jacks, hand trucks, Cherry Picker, Forklift

  • Powered Industrial Vehicles

  • Conveyor Equipment where applicable.

  • Radio Frequency handheld computer

  • Shrink wrap/stretch wrap equipment

  • Box Cutter
