Inventory Control Manager
Bulk Environmental & Industrial is a fast-growing, leading professional transportation and logistics services company providing long-haul transportation, collection, and loading of waste and other materials.
The Inventory Control Manager will manage inventory tracking systems, evaluate and improve inventory control procedures, analyze supply levels, and optimize employee schedules. The role also involves developing relationships with suppliers and clients, proposing cost-reduction strategies, and ensuring adherence to budget.
Primary duties and responsibilities include overseeing a team of inventory or warehouse employees, managing inventory tracking systems, evaluating deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures, analyzing daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages, managing schedules of employees, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations, communicating with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues, developing business relationships with suppliers and clients, proposing strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics, monitoring demand and analyzing data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs, reporting on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to upper management, ensuring adherence to approved budget, performing and assisting with general maintenance and cleanup of the warehouse, and performing additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements include a minimum of five years of experience managing inventory, experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies, experience conducting tracking and data analysis, product and inventory management certification is a plus, and experience with vendors.
Travel required: Yes, 25% of the time.
Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time, occasionally standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms, engaging in bending, stretching, reaching, and other motions, using office equipment and computers, lifting supplies and materials up to 20 pounds from time to time, and regularly seeing, talking, and hearing.
Working conditions are primarily in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels and degrees of temperature, and the employee may be interrupted from time to time.
