Job description

Leads employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp and/or yard functions in the proper handling of packages/freight, accuracy/completeness of necessary paperwork and proper methods are followed; thereby, ensuring effective operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months FedEx handler experience which preferably includes 3 months work experience In work area which has the open position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to successfully complete basic and re-currency training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Ability to coach and train employees during sort operations. Ability to prioritize assignments and make quick decisions with available information. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and delegate responsibilities in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Good understanding of FedEx systems and operations.

Job Conditions
