Your Role as an Inventory Control Specialist

As an Inventory Control Specialist at Spartan Logistics, you will play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy and smooth warehouse operations by:

  • Overseeing inventory control and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Conducting cycle counts of bin locations.
  • Keeping detailed records of inventory changes and reporting them to the appropriate departments.
  • Inspecting inventory to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Managing returns of defective products to suppliers or handling disposals per company standards.
  • Utilizing barcode scanners regularly for inventory management.

This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel in organization and are passionate about efficiency in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 to 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Familiarity with inventory control devices and proficiency in computer skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 60 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, squatting, kneeling, and walking.
  • Continuous bending and ability to work in a physically active environment.

All candidates must successfully complete a drug screening and background check as a condition of employment.
