Job description

Job Title: Inventory Control / Order Processing Specialist
Location:  North Chicago, IL
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support inventory control and order processing operations. This role involves auditing inventory systems, resolving discrepancies, managing order flows, and supporting distribution activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit inventory across systems (Manhattan, SAP, ADMS) and resolve discrepancies
  • Process rejected, expired, and short-dated products
  • Support quality and manufacturing with material handling (destroy, rework, quarantine)
  • Manage and resolve orders on hold; cancel orders as needed
  • Monitor system error logs and escalate issues appropriately
  • Analyze and report key distribution metrics
  • Manage customer order queues and ensure timely shipment releases
  • Support distribution and receiving during peak periods
  • Assist in training team members and support multi-site operations
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and customer service skills (inbound/outbound calls)
  • Ability to work with databases and multiple computer systems
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and similar tools
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Basic math skills and data interpretation ability
  • Understanding of warehouse/logistics workflows
