Registered Nurse (RN)
The Evergreens at Hillview Health Care Center - La Crosse, WI
Wage: $36.08-$40.54 per hour (DOE)
Plus shift differentials, annual step progression, and every-other-weekend/holiday rotations.
Schedule: Approximately 32 hours per pay period on-site, with participation in a rotational on-call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays.

About the Role
The Evergreens at Hillview is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our assisted living team. This professional role works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and is responsible for supervising staff, assessing tenants, and ensuring high-quality care that meets each individual's needs.
This position is ideal for an RN who values meaningful relationships, teamwork, and the opportunity to make a daily impact on the lives of older adults.
What You'll Do
• Provide professional nursing care while supporting, directing, and mentoring staff.
• Conduct tenant assessments, plan and coordinate services, and maintain accurate care plans and documentation.
• Train and supervise Resident Assistants, including medication administration and management training.
• Assist prospective tenants and families with admissions, tours, paperwork, care plans, and questions.
• Collaborate with outside healthcare providers and coordinate tenant services and appointments.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and positive environment for tenants, families, staff, and visitors.
• Participate in on-call rotation and maintain flexibility to meet facility needs.
What We're Looking For
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• CPR Certification.
• Experience in assisted living preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and respond calmly in emergencies.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with tenants, families, staff, and community partners.
• Must pass a background check per Wisconsin Caregiver Law.
Physical Requirements
This role requires intermittent sitting, standing, bending, and moving throughout the facility. Tasks may include transferring residents (up to 60 lbs.), pushing wheelchairs, and using standard nursing equipment such as lifts, glucometers, blood pressure devices, and thermometers.
