Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), medication administration systems, and basic life support (BLS) certification are typically expected. What is an internship RN in assisted living?

Internship RNs in Assisted Living are registered nursing students or recent graduates who are gaining hands-on experience in an assisted living facility. Their role involves working under the supervision of experienced nurses to provide basic care, assist with medication management, monitor residents’ health, and learn about the unique needs of elderly populations. These internships help nursing students apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and develop skills critical to geriatric care. Such positions are valuable stepping stones for those interested in elderly or long-term care nursing careers.
