Delaware North is hiring an Accounting Intern to join our team at our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. As an Accounting Intern, you will be a key member of the payroll team, supporting the daily operations.

Summer internship dates typically span 10-14 weeks between May - August.  This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience and make an impact in a global company.

What will you do?
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Prepare general ledger journal entries

  • Prepare responses to audit requests from internal and external auditors

  • Field questions from stakeholders within the organization to provide insights and escalate issues to management when necessary

  • Ability to apply accounting principles through journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business

  • Understand payroll laws and regulations impacting the business and employees, including the financial impact

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

More about you
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience with automation tools, including Alteryx and Excel Macros
  • Ability to work hybrid office hours at our office in Buffalo, NY
