The internship provides opportunities across multiple teams in a rapidly growing and dynamic setting. Interns benefit from a combination of training and on-the-job work experience in software engineering, data science, or machine learning engineering. Based on your interests and experiences you might be able to:
• Work side-by-side with Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists to design, build and implement scalable, easy-to-use systems and tools.
• Use data analysis and predictive modeling techniques to build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end operational solutions.
• Work with large, complex data sets to solve problems and drive solutions through creating analytical models and turning data into impactful insights.
• Collaborate with technical partners to implement robust real-time and batch decisioning in production.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data-querying (SQL and/or Spark, etc.) and extracting insights from complex data sets
Effective communication skills to translate complex, ambiguous concepts into concise, business-focused solutions
Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning or related field
Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, Java , C++ or equivalent language
Practical experience through work, projects, or research with software engineering, data science, or machine learning
Understanding of the software development lifecycle, data modeling, data structures, and machine learning algorithms
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $33.64 and $50.46/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
