Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the accuracy and completeness of medication reconciliation across the continuum of care beginning in the Emergency Department or the inpatient units and under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Department.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. California State Board of Pharmacy registration as pharmacy technician is required.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with people of diverse backgrounds and at all levels within the medical center and in the community is required.
4. Ability to effectively utilize a computer system and pharmacy automated systems is required.
5. Ability to devote strong attention to detail and accuracy is required.
6. Two years of work experience in a retail pharmacy or in a medication reconciliation technician position is required.
7. Knowledge of commonly used prescription and over-the-counter medications including brand and generic names, available dosages, frequencies, and indications is required.
8. CPhT certification is preferred.
Pay Range: $23.98-$33.58
