Job Summary

We are looking for a curious, collaborative, and detail-oriented intern to support our Programmatic Buying and Customer Success teams. This role is open to current students, recent graduates, and early-career candidates navigating a competitive job market. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who can adapt to new systems and tools, applies critical thinking to campaign data, and brings energy and teamwork to everything they do. Experience in Programmatic advertising (Display, Video, OTT, Social, Search) is a plus but not required. This internship will coincide with an active political advertising cycle, providing hands-on exposure to high-volume, high-visibility campaigns. This internship falls under the Media Activation Team structure. The Media Activation Team includes Account Management, Media Planning, Media Buying and Accounts Receivable. Collaboratively, the Optimum Media Media Activation Team focuses on three primary objectives:

  • Provide great customer experience for our internal teams and external clients.
  • Work side by side with sales and customer success to promote positive relationships with our customers.
  • Ensure our customers' expectations are exceeded and they value us as a trusted partner.
Responsibilities
  • Learn from and assist Buyers, Senior Buyers, Account Managers and Managers in day-to-day campaign execution.
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues, flag discrepancies to the team, and contribute to process improvements where identified.
  • Support the set up of Display, Video, OTT, Social & Search campaigns using various demand side platforms (DSPs).
  • Support Buyers in implementing campaign strategy & optimizations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to help ensure we are driving optimal results for our clients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the digital media industry, including new ad formats, advertising platforms/networks and best practice industry measurement.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute observations and questions as part of your development.
  • Support Customer Success team with forecasting, planning, reporting, and billing reconciliation to ensure campaign accuracy and operational alignment across teams.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a B.A./B.S. degree (any major considered; Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Data Analytics a plus)
  • No prior programmatic experience required.
  • Coursework, personal projects, or internships in digital marketing or data are a plus
  • High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, digitally savvy and sound logical thinking
  • Knowledge of Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) a plus but not expected
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills; collaborative mindset and eagerness to contribute to a team environment
