It is important to consider the internship's responsibilities and whether the compensation aligns with industry standards in your area.

Do people do background checks for internships?

Yes, many internships require background checks to verify applicants' criminal history, education, and employment records. Employers often use screening tools to ensure candidate suitability and maintain workplace safety, especially for roles involving sensitive information or minors.

Do jobs still hire if your background check fails?

For internship background screening, employers typically consider the nature and severity of any issues found. Some companies may still hire if the concern is minor or unrelated to the role, while others may disqualify candidates based on company policies or the type of background concern.
