Job Summary:
Are you looking for a better work-life balance?ย Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich is seeking an Experienced GM Service Tech to join our dynamic team.ย We are proud to offer a compressed 4/10 work scheduleโ€”work four 10-hour days and enjoy a three-day weekend every week!ย As an Experienced GM Service Tech, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles in compliance with factory and dealership standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.ย 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Flexible 4/10 Work Schedule:ย Work four 10-hour shifts (e.g., 7:00 AM โ€“ 5:30 PM) with three consecutive days off to recharge.
  • Annual Salary:ย $58,000 to $120,000 per year.

    Responsibilities:
    - Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues with vehicles and determine appropriate repairs.
    - Effectively use diagnostic equipment and technical information systems to efficiently troubleshoot and repair vehicles.
    - Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
    - Accurately record diagnoses and repairs in electronic systems and communicate findings to service advisors and customers.
    - Ensure all repairs and services are completed within estimated time frames and meet dealership quality standards.
    - Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
    - Continuously expand knowledge and skills through ongoing training and certification programs.
    - Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times.
    Requirements:
    - High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
    - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a GM Service Technician.
    - Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
    - Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes, including proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
    - Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
    - Strong communication and customer service skills.
    - Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    - Must be willing to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
