Job description

Job Description

The Integration Manager is an operations function that reports to the regional Do Work leader responsible for the associated region, and to the National Integration Manager. The Regional Do Work leader provides direction on regional priorities, support needs, and initiatives. The National Integration Manager provides direction on company-level initiatives, best practices, standards and company-wide support needs.

Role Summary

The Integration Manager is a technical role focused on driving operations and project controls consistency across DPR. Integration Managers are a regional-level resource and engage in both supporting projects within their respective regions, and in supporting DPR's journey Ever Forward by developing practices and supporting content to help our teams execute work better. This role gets deep into the project management tools, software, workflows, data and metrics that drive success and accountability on our projects.

Project Support

Integration Managers assist DPR project teams in project execution planning by engaging project and Do Work teams together in Integrated Kickoff meetings, and further by providing workshops, creating and leading technical training sessions, and detailed support to project teams outside of those meetings.

Integration Managers proactively engage with projects based on regionally defined criteria that can include a specific project dollar volume, or individually defined high risk projects that fall below that dollar volume.

In follow up to Integrated Kickoff meetings, Integration Managers provide project teams with action plans based on the discussion during the meeting and often are responsible for follow-up actions themself. The Integration Manager works in coordination with other Do Work resources on a regular basis to determine which teams should be followed up with.

Integration Managers work to ensure that project process outcomes align with Project specific needs and DPR's Corporate Strategies of Data, VDC, Prefabrication, Design to build and Self-Performed Work.

Company-Level Support

At the company level Integration Managers bring their regional experience with projects to contribute to company-level initiatives. This group actively contributes to Best Builder Framework (BBF) objective groups, refines and develops BBF content, and develops training content to support BBF Standards and Best Practices. The Integration Manager supports innovation and the strategic initiatives that are active within the region.

Core Responsibilities of an Integration Manager

  • Schedule and facilitate Integrated Kickoff meetings for projects.
  • Review DPR standard, DPR best practice, and project-specific technology and process requirements with DPR project teams and provide recommended approaches to suit.
  • Provide training and guidance on how to leverage DPR's project management tools.
  • Assist project teams in creating project-specific workflows if necessary, always starting with DPR best practices.
  • Follow up with project teams to support execution through various phases of the project.
  • Collaborate with regional and local Do Work leaders on supporting projects, reinforcing the Best Builder Framework, and to support goals and initiatives.
  • Bridge communication between the Integration Group and local Do Work Groups to provide region-specific feedback on what is working and not working for our teams.
  • Plan for and respond to project support requirements in the region to support DPR's objective of Consistent Execution.
  • Elevate any misalignment in adoption of best practices to regional and functional group leadership.

Technology, Tools, and Process Related Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively across all functional groups and DPR subsidiaries to help improve the implementation of project management processes.
  • Support strategic innovation that aligns with DPR standards and best practices and helps DPR improve operations on our projects.
  • Assist project teams in identification and mitigation of process and technology related risks.
  • Promote DPR's best practice utilization of vConstruct services and work with vConstruct leaders and project teams to ensure that well-coordinated workflows that align with the BBF are established on projects.
  • Assist project teams with understanding the cost and schedule implications of using nonenterprise technology tools required for the project.
  • Develop and provide training at various levels of the business, and to DPR's partners to improve the competency of DPR's front-line workforce.
  • Ensure unnecessary or tangential technology is not being used on DPR projects.
  • Collaborate with DPR's innovation group and identify key areas for innovation or support initiatives in progress to a successful outcome.
  • Collaborate with DPR's Construction Technology group to drive consistent execution of tools and process and filter feedback up and down the organization.
  • Collaborate with other Do Work functions regionally and across the company to identify and escalate opportunities for improvement.
