Job description

SUMMARY

The Director of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) leads the strategy and execution of cohesive, cross‑channel brand communication for Buff City Soap. This role brings together all consumer touchpoints to ensure the brand shows up consistently and effectively.


A critical responsibility is owning the integrated marketing calendar, channel‑level messaging, campaign timelines, and creative development deadlines - ensuring programs move seamlessly from concept to execution. This leader will also drive breakthrough creative thinking and retail campaign concepts that help Buff City stand out in culture and builds meaningful brand heat.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the integrated marketing calendar, campaign timelines, creative milestones, and cross‑channel message alignment.
  • Manage the full IMC workflow from brief through creative development, approvals, and in‑market delivery.
  • Lead the strategy for in‑store communication, including signage, promotions, packaging, and seasonal storytelling.
  • Drive the development of bold, breakthrough creative ideas that elevate brand relevance, cultural resonance, and earned‑media potential.
  • Partner and lead the creative teams to bring forward big swing concepts that create buzz, draw new guests into the brand, and amplify what makes Buff City unique.
  • Champion creative bravery while staying grounded in insights, guest understanding, and commercial outcomes.
  • Primary steward of brand equity consistency and persistency across stores (200+ today) and media channels.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven marketing leader & self-starter with 8+ years’ experience across creative development and management, social/digital campaign development and/or brand building know-how.
  • Detail oriented with an ability to balance complex, overlapping timelines while hitting hard launch dates.
  • Exceptional leadership range – will need to simultaneously influence Franchise leaders, C-Suite members and internal cross functional peers.
  • Retail and/or Franchise marketing experience required.
  • Design, copy, brand activations or digital asset creation experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (business, marketing, communication or similar).
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort with dynamic, high growth entrepreneurial company and culture.
