Behind our customers - amazing companies that help feed the world, provide life-saving medicine on a global scale, and focus on clean water and green mobility - our people are energized problem solvers that take pride in how the work we do changes the world for the better.
We welcome all makers, forward thinkers, and problem solvers who are looking for a place to do their best work. And if that's you we would love to have you join us!
Job Description
Rockwell Automation is the world's leader in industrial automation. Marketing Communications plays a critical role in taking complex, highly technical topics and translating them into clear, compelling stories that resonate with our audiences. What we say and what we do must always align. We believe in the power of marketing communications to create energy, reach new audiences, grow our business, and deliver distinctive, on-brand experiences.
The Marketing Communications Manager leads our MarComm function and drives awareness, consideration and engagement across our core industries, solutions, hardware, software and services. You will help execute marketing communications objectives aligned to strategic priorities, ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging across launches, campaigns and channels.
You will help lead a team of marketing communications specialists who create and deliver content and campaign tactics that showcase the depth and breadth of Rockwell Automation's offerings. This includes storytelling, content strategy, campaign execution and close collaboration across global and regional teams.
As a leader, you will partner closely with stakeholders across portfolio, industry, social, PR, web and digital demand and marketing operations, to build strong, strategic activation plans that support our priorities. You will ensure MarComm tactics are strategically aligned, well executed and measurable.
You will be an internal marketing evangelist and an external brand ambassador. You are both a leader and a doer - a strategic thinker who leads with positivity and influence. You will mentor and coach your team, build capabilities for the future, and hold a high bar for quality, consistency and brand integrity across all marketing communications.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Marketing Communications (MarComm) function, setting clear priorities, standards, and ways of working in support of our marketing strategies.
  • Define and execute integrated marketing communications plans across channels (digital, web, campaigns, sales enablement, nurture, social, etc,) that drive awareness, engagement and demand.
  • Partner closely with functional teams, portfolio marketing, industry and regional teams to translate strategy into compelling messaging, content and activation plans.
  • Own MarComm support for product launches and New Product Introductions (NPIs) partnering with portfolio marketing and business units to deliver clear launch strategies, differentiated messaging, content and activation plans.
  • Oversee development of messaging, storytelling and content that clearly articulates Rockwell Automation value propositions across industries, solutions, hardware, software and services.
  • Ensure brand consistency, messaging quality and governance across all MarComm outputs, including launch, campaign and evergreen content.
  • Lead intake, prioritization, resourcing and execution of MarComm work to balance speed, quality and strategic impact.
  • Establish and maintain clear workflows, SLAs, and best practices to support repeatable, scalable execution for campaigns, launches, and NPIs.
  • Use data, insights and performance metrics to optimize MarComm strategies and improve effectiveness over time.
  • Serve as an internal marketing evangelist and advisor, helping stakeholders understand MarComm's role, timelines and expectations.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of marketing professionals, building both current execution excellence and future-ready capabilities.
  • Cultivate effective networks of internal and external customers, suppliers, stakeholders and vendors/suppliers.

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Marketing Communications, content marketing, or integrated marketing roles, with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate marketing strategies into clear, actionable MarComm plans.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and influencing outcomes without direct authority in a matrixed organization.
  • Operational mindset with experience building or improving intake processes, workflows, governance and content standards.
  • Excellent messaging and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Demonstrated success in a B2B environment; industrial, automation or technology experience.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content activation and performance measurement (e.g., web, SEO, and campaigns).
  • Experience supporting and implementing product launches and New Product Introductions (NPIs).
  • Confident people leader with a passion for coaching, developing talent and building high-performing teams.

What We Offer:
  • Health Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision
  • 401k
  • Paid Time off
  • Parental and Caregiver Leave
  • Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.
