The Director, Marketing Communications leads the enterprise corporate marketing communications function, serving as steward of the corporate and product brands and owner of Modivcare's digital and marketing ecosystem. This role is responsible for brand strategy, product and corporate marketing communications, paid media, the corporate website, and event marketing, while partnering cross-functionally on analytics, enterprise marketing technology, and vendor management.

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Reputation, the Director leads a team spanning design, digital, and product marketing and operates within a hybrid model of internal teams and external agency partners. This role ensures brand consistency, regulatory credibility, and measurable performance across all channels that engage customers, partners, investors, and institutional stakeholders.

  • Owns and advances enterprise corporate and product brand strategy, including brand architecture, positioning, narrative, tone, and visual identity.

  • Establishes, governs, and enforces brand standards, messaging frameworks, and usage guidelines across all channels and business units.

  • Monitors and protects brand health, awareness, and reputation in a highly regulated, trust-driven healthcare environment.

  • Leads enterprise go-to-market and launch communications planning in partnership with Product, Medical, Sales, and Corporate Affairs.

  • Develops and oversees product and solution messaging, positioning, and sales enablement assets to ensure differentiation and market relevance.

  • Leads segmentation and persona-based communications strategies supporting growth objectives.

  • Serves as strategic marketing advisor to the VP, Corporate Reputation on brand investment, digital priorities, and campaign performance.

  • Directs strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of the corporate website, including UX, SEO, content architecture, hosting, integrations, and performance analytics.

  • Sets enterprise SEO, SEM, and paid media strategies, defining channel mix, investment priorities, and performance standards.

  • Oversees execution of digital and paid programs in partnership with internal teams and external agencies.

  • Establishes enterprise content strategy and governance, including templates, standards, and branded assets.

  • Provides strategic direction and quality oversight for creative production across campaigns, presentations, events, and marketing materials.

  • Oversees integrated, multi-channel campaigns aligned with sales, demand generation, and account-based marketing strategies.

  • Partners across Corporate Affairs to ensure alignment between brand, earned media, social, and internal communications.

  • Leads corporate tradeshow and event marketing strategy, including presence, design, creative assets, and supporting materials.

  • Ensures events advance enterprise positioning, thought leadership, and commercial objectives.

  • Supports and oversees enterprise marketing technology platforms and vendor relationships.

  • Establishes and maintains analytics and reporting frameworks to measure brand, engagement, demand, and campaign effectiveness.

  • Leads market research and competitive intelligence initiatives to inform strategy.

  • Manages assigned marketing communications budget, monitors spend, analyzes variances, and optimizes resource allocation.

  • Interacts effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution across workstreams.

  • Leads enterprise-wide marketing initiatives and cross-functional projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in marketing communications, with a focus on progressively responsible roles in corporate or B2B marketing environments.

  • Five (5) or more years of leadership responsibility, including direct management of marketing or creative professionals.

  • Experience in healthcare or Medicaid managed care required.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing marketing communications teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate brand management, including the development and governance of brand standards, visual identity systems, and enterprise messaging frameworks.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies spanning digital, content, paid media, and event marketing channels.

  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing disciplines, including search engine optimization, search engine marketing, website management, and campaign performance measurement.

  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate websites, including content strategy, user experience principles, platform administration, and performance analytics.

  • Proven ability to direct creative production processes, providing strategic oversight to design and content resources to deliver high-quality marketing assets at scale.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret marketing performance data, draw actionable conclusions, and communicate findings clearly to senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience managing external agency partners, marketing technology platforms, and vendor relationships, including contract oversight and performance accountability.

  • In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry, including Medicaid managed care, the regulatory environment governing healthcare communications, and the stakeholder landscape relevant to a healthcare services organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling marketing narratives for diverse audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence without direct authority.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, particularly in the management of brand assets and corporate positioning materials.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with enterprise marketing technology platforms, content management systems, and digital analytics tools.

Salary: $133,300 - $179,900

This position is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
