Job Description

A Boutique Law Firm in Miami Beach is looking for a Legal Assistant. The ideal candidate must work well with others while having the ability to work independently with proficiency; also must be able to work effectively under pressure, be detailed oriented, be able to handle multiple tasks at once under stringent time constraints.
Responsibilities: include but are not limited to
  • Scheduling appointments, hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and conferences.
  • Calendaring of appointments, maintaining attorney calendar and monitoring deadlines
  • Completing tasks or projects timely.
  • Handling client contact and arranging transportation and traveling.
  • Initiating, answering, and directing phone calls; including initial intake for possible cases.
  • Organizing and requesting medical records/billing ledgers.
  • Preparing and filing basic legal documents and correspondence.
  • Sorting and sending mail.
  • Maintaining electronic and paper files.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements (Preferred):

  • Associate or Bachelors
  • Legal experience: 1-2 years
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, Zoom
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Spanish (preferred)
Salary: $19 an hour
