Insurtech Remote information

What is an insurtech remote?

An Insurtech Remote job refers to a position within the insurance technology (insurtech) sector that can be performed from any location outside of a traditional office setting. These roles typically involve leveraging technology to improve or innovate insurance services, such as using data analytics, artificial intelligence, or digital platforms. Insurtech remote jobs can range from software development and product management to customer support and marketing. Working remotely in insurtech allows professionals to collaborate with global teams and contribute to the digital transformation of the insurance industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an insurtech remote professional?

To thrive as an Insurtech Remote professional, you need a strong background in insurance principles, data analysis, and digital technology, often supported by a relevant degree or industry certification. Familiarity with insurtech platforms, CRM systems, cloud-based tools, and data analytics software is typically required. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and self-management skills help you collaborate effectively and adapt to evolving market needs from a remote setting. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering innovative insurance solutions and maintaining productivity in a digital, distributed work environment.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working remotely in the insurtech industry?

Working remotely in insurtech often involves navigating communication across distributed teams, staying updated on rapidly evolving technology trends, and managing client data securely from various locations. Collaboration tools and clear communication protocols are essential to overcome time zone differences and maintain project momentum. Additionally, remote insurtech professionals must proactively seek out opportunities for professional development and stay engaged with industry best practices, as the fast-paced environment demands continuous learning and adaptation.

Job description

Does your current company inspire you to build, grow, and innovate? Is your passion for making lasting and meaningful change being realized?
The tremendous growth in our business and increasing demand for our services means we are expanding our team in exciting ways. We have the heart of a startup and the backing of an industry leader. This means a unique career opportunity for low-ego professionals looking for a people-first, culture rich work family with which to change the world.
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with strong experience in API-driven integrations and a background in the insurtech industry to lead the execution of our integration initiatives. This role will focus on translating business needs into well-defined product requirements, managing integration lifecycles, and partnering closely with engineering and external stakeholders to deliver seamless, scalable connections with carriers, benefits administration systems, and other partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive the integrations roadmap, aligning with product strategy, company objectives and customer needs.
  • Own the day-to-day execution of integration initiatives, from requirements gathering through delivery and ongoing enhancements.
  • Translate business and client needs into detailed user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria in partnership with Product Owners.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, and integration implementation leads to refine priorities and support successful onboarding and adoption of integrations.
  • Manage integration development timelines, testing, and release readiness in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor integration performance, stability, and adoption metrics, recommending improvements and enhancements.
  • Stay informed on industry standards, regulatory requirements, and insurtech trends to ensure integrations align with evolving expectations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for integrations internally, providing clarity and support across product and business teams.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on integrations or API-first products.
  • Proven experience in the Insurtech or healthtech, or space with an understanding of carrier, broker, or benefits administration workflows.
  • Strong technical acumen: ability to understand APIs, data schemas, and system interoperability, while effectively bridging technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with integration design, data mapping, and testing processes.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering, business, and client-facing teams.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with compliance and security considerations in insurance/benefits data exchange a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $140,000 to $160,000 per year.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company's performance. We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs. You will receive reimbursement of job-related expenses per the company policy and may receive employee perks and discounts.
