WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Brokerage Consultant is responsible for driving sales of life and/or annuity insurance products through wholesale distribution channels, including independent brokers, financial advisors, and agencies. This role combines product expertise, relationship management, and strategic sales initiatives to grow market share, achieve revenue targets, and support the success of wholesale partners.
A GLIMPSE INTO YOUR DAY
  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with wholesale partners to promote life or annuity insurance products, ensuring alignment with their client needs and business goals.
  • Provides detailed knowledge of life or annuity insurance products, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages, to wholesale partners.
  • Solicits business from existing agents and cultivates relationships with new agents.
  • Delivers training sessions, marketing materials, and ongoing support to brokers and advisors to enhance their ability to sell life or annuity insurance effectively.
  • Develops strategies to penetrate new markets and increase distribution through wholesale channels.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with brokers and agencies, acting as their primary point of contact and advocate for Relation Insurance's offerings.
  • Tracks and analyzes sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to leadership and adjusting strategies as needed to meet goals.
  • Manages the underwriting process from application to policy issuance, addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Collaborates with case managers to ensure smooth handling of cases and provide timely updates to agents.
  • Provides post-sale support, including policy changes, beneficiary updates, and in-force policy management.
  • Stays up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new product developments.
  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations and company.
  • Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • A Life and Health License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
  • Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in life or annuity insurance sales, preferably within wholesale or brokerage channels.
  • Strong knowledge of life or annuity insurance products, underwriting processes, and industry standards and trends.
  • Strategic thinker with strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Must have a customer-centric approach with the proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sales-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
