What is an insurtech remote?

An Insurtech Remote job refers to a position within the insurance technology (insurtech) sector that can be performed from any location outside of a traditional office setting. These roles typically involve leveraging technology to improve or innovate insurance services, such as using data analytics, artificial intelligence, or digital platforms. Insurtech remote jobs can range from software development and product management to customer support and marketing. Working remotely in insurtech allows professionals to collaborate with global teams and contribute to the digital transformation of the insurance industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an insurtech remote professional?

To thrive as an Insurtech Remote professional, you need a strong background in insurance principles, data analysis, and digital technology, often supported by a relevant degree or industry certification. Familiarity with insurtech platforms, CRM systems, cloud-based tools, and data analytics software is typically required. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and self-management skills help you collaborate effectively and adapt to evolving market needs from a remote setting. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering innovative insurance solutions and maintaining productivity in a digital, distributed work environment.

Job description

About Feathery
Feathery is the AI Operating & Decisioning system for financial services. Our platform helps financial institutions automate complex data and document workflows using AI. Our customers - including Fortune 500s like Allstate - use Feathery to power mission-critical workflows such as customer onboarding, insurance underwriting and quoting, account openings, and advisor transitions.
Why We're Looking for You
Feathery is growing rapidly, and we're building out our marketing function to match. We're looking for an experienced SEO content marketer who is also a strong B2B writer to join the team and strengthen how we reach and engage buyers across insurance and wealth management. You'll research complex topics, develop a point of view, and create high-quality content that resonates with sophisticated financial services buyers.
SEO is a core part of the role: understanding what buyers are searching for, building content around intent, and optimizing it for sustained organic growth across search engines and LLMs. Ideally, you've done this in InsurTech; strong B2B fintech or regulated financial services experience is also highly relevant.
About the Role
You'll own Feathery's SEO strategy and execution, with content as a major component-from setting priorities and shaping the strategy to writing, publishing, and measuring performance.
This is a hands-on role, and writing for financial services at Feathery means being at the forefront of how AI is transforming the industry-turning the technology we're building and the complex workflows we're reinventing into compelling, authoritative content.
You'll work closely with our founders, product, and go-to-market teams to translate complex workflows-underwriting submissions, account openings, claims intake-into content that earns trust, performs in search, and contributes to pipeline.
What You'll Do
  • Own Feathery's SEO and B2B content marketing strategy across insurance and wealth management.
  • Research industry trends, customer pain points, buyer needs, and search intent to identify high-value content opportunities.
  • Develop, write, and publish high-quality marketing content: thought leadership, pillar pages, solution and use-case pages, comparison content, and blog posts.
  • Translate complex insurance and financial services topics into clear, credible content for sophisticated B2B buyers.
  • Become Feathery's go-to expert for creating content across insurance and wealth, shaping a distinctive point of view and voice for our content.
  • Own on-page and technical SEO, including content optimization, site structure, and internal linking, to improve search performance, organic traffic, and conversion.
  • Own off-page SEO and digital PR initiatives to build authority and organic visibility.
  • Partner with product, design, and go-to-market to ground content in real customer workflows and turn engagement into pipeline.
  • Help shape how Feathery shows up in AI-driven and answer-based search as the channel evolves.
  • Track performance across rankings, traffic, engagement, AI visibility, conversion, and pipeline, and use those results to sharpen strategy over time.
  • Manage and publish content and marketing pages in Webflow.

About You
  • 5+ years of experience across SEO strategy, content writing, and B2B content marketing.
  • B2B fintech content writing experience; InsurTech or WealthTech experience strongly preferred.
  • A writing portfolio with B2B content you've personally written, such as blogs, whitepapers, case studies, thought leadership, and long-form articles.
  • Experience owning SEO end-to-end, from strategy and prioritization through execution and measurement, including keyword and intent research, on-page optimization, content structure, internal linking, and technical SEO.
  • Strong understanding of B2B buyer journeys and how content drives organic growth and pipeline.
  • Ability to explain complex, technical, or regulated subject matter clearly and credibly.
  • Ability to independently take content from research and writing through optimization, publication, and performance analysis.
  • Comfortable with tools like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, AI visibility and analytics platforms; data-driven in measuring performance and making decisions.
  • Hands-on experience building and shipping marketing pages in Webflow.
  • Experience with AI-driven SEO and answer-based search.
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Remote in US and Downtown Toronto office location for Canadian appllicants
  • Office snacks and lunches
  • A supportive, low-ego team that values ownership and growth
  • Company offsite to connect and recharge

If you're excited about building an organic growth engine for tools used by top financial institutions and want to own a channel in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment-we'd love to hear from you.

We're committed to building an inclusive team and provide reasonable accommodations upon request.
