Senior Sales Consultant I Advanced Tax Planning and Wealth Strategy
We are hiring a senior consultative salesperson to convert qualified physician and business-owner prospects into
advanced tax planning and implementation engagements. This is not a commodity sales role. The successful
candidate must be comfortable selling high-ticket professional services, coordinating with CPAs and tax attorneys,
and helping affluent clients understand why proactive tax planning is the cornerstone of financial planning.
What You Will Own
• Own the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity to collected engagement fee.
• Conduct discovery calls, strategy presentations, follow-up, and close conversations.
• Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and pipeline forecasting.
• Work with planning, CPA, legal, and implementation teams to ensure a clean handoff after close.
• Build referral relationships with physicians, business owners, insurance professionals, and strategic partners.
Core Responsibilities
• Lead discovery calls with high-income professionals and business owners.
• Present planning engagement options, pricing, timeline, and next steps.
• Close tax planning, implementation, and advisory engagements.
• Follow up with prospects using a structured cadence.
• Coordinate with technical teams before and after client enrollment.
• Track activity, close rate, average engagement size, collected revenue, and referral source performance.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of consultative sales experience in professional services, financial services, insurance, legal,
accounting, or high-ticket advisory sales.
• Proven ability to sell $15,000 to $50,000+ engagements.
• Strong executive presence and ability to speak with physicians, entrepreneurs, and affluent families.
• CRM discipline and pipeline management experience.
• Licensing in insurance or securities is helpful but not required unless selling regulated products directly.
Compensation Plan
Compensation Element                                               Recommended Market-Aligned Structure
  • Base Salary | $85,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and market. Top performers may exceed this range through accelerators.
  • Commission | 6% to 10% of collected planning fees, paid after client payment clears. Use 8% as the standard rate and reserve 10% for over-quota production.
  • Quota | Annual collected planning-fee quota of approximately $1,250,000 to $2,000,000, depending on lead flow and role seniority.
  • Accelerators | 10% to 12% commission on collected planning fees above 100% of quota. Optional quarterly bonus may be added for close rate, clean handoff, and client-fit score.
  • Clawback / Quality Gate | No commission will be paid on refunded fees, non-qualified clients, or engagements cancelled due to sales misrepresentation.
  • Insurance / Implementation Revenue | Product commissions or revenue participation should be paid only to properly licensed personnel and only where compliant with applicable insurance, legal, tax, and firm policies.
