Description Summary
The Field Clinical Engineer (FCE) will have primary responsibility for providing training as well as remote and on-site technical support for sites running clinical trials sponsored by or collaborating with Magnus Medical. The FCE will provide training in the delivery of Stanford Accelerated Neuromodulation Therapy (SAINT), a novel rapid-acting non-invasive brain stimulation technique.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support Clinical Affairs and Commercialization teams in the development of training programs for the SAINT Neuromodulation System
- Provide technical expert guidance and clinical trial site staff on-site training
- Provide troubleshooting support on-site or remotely for clinical trial sites
- Test MNS software and provide feedback to the software team to assist ongoing internal software development
- Support the clinical affairs team with documentation and ongoing maintenance of documentation as it relates to training and/or device accountability
- Analyze and evaluate product malfunctions and complete complaint reports as required
- Assist with implementation of best practices at magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) centers to ensure good quality scans are obtained
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- TMS technician experience is required. Experience with MagVenture equipment preferred
- Experience with neuronavigation equipment, particularly Localite software would be highly desirable
- Previous experience working in clinical trials or human subject research is preferred
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (Required)
- Ability to work independently and adhere to company timelines
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team oriented but remote environment
- Ability to accept instruction and guidance from Magnus Medical therapeutic area experts
- Adaptability, flexibility, independence, and resourcefulness to roll up sleeves and multi-task in order to thrive in a small-company environment
Salary Range: $110,000 - $115,000 base salary, eligible for annual company bonus and equity
The annual base salary range for this position based in the United States is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on Magnus' compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Magnus utilizes the full width of the range.
