Pay: $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Air Import Customer Care Agent to join our growing logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding and a thorough understanding of air import operations, shipment management, and customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments while maintaining exceptional customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities

Air Import Operations

  • Coordinate and manage air import shipments from booking through final delivery.
  • Track and trace shipments, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Maintain complete and accurate shipment records.
  • Prepare and send advance shipment notifications to customers.
  • Calculate and provide air import rate quotations.
  • Communicate effectively with overseas offices, carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, transportation requirements, and company procedures.
  • Guide customers on import compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor shipment performance and proactively communicate shipment updates, delays, and deviations.

Customer Care & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
  • Support customer growth initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and support the onboarding process for new customers.
  • Deliver accurate information regarding transit times, shipment status, and commercial conditions.
  • Manage customer complaints, service issues, and claims through successful resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and shipment-related concerns.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Handle billing, invoicing, and shipment-related documentation.
  • Monitor freight costs and support expense management activities.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and record maintenance within company systems.
  • Assist with reporting and performance tracking as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, specifically air import operations.
  • Strong knowledge of air import shipment processes from origin to final delivery.
  • Understanding of customs regulations, import compliance requirements, and transportation procedures.
  • Experience with shipment tracking, billing, invoicing, and freight cost management.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred

  • Experience working with international freight forwarding organizations.
