Import Assistant – Customs Brokerage
Laredo, TX
$18–$22 per hour (DOE)
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Temp with the possibility of hire

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Import Assistant to join their Customs Brokerage team in Laredo, TX. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in international trade, logistics, and customs operations, with the potential to become a permanent employee.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing ISF (Importer Security Filings) and 7512 documentation
  • Prepare and review import and customs-related paperwork
  • Support customs brokers with daily import operations
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and submitted within required timelines
  • Communicate with customers, carriers, and government agencies as needed
  • Maintain organized records and update shipment information in company systems

Qualifications:

  • Previous customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or import/export experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
