Systems Engineer (Experienced, Lead or Senior)

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) is seeking two Systems Engineers in support of the Bombers Sustainment Systems Engineering, Integration & Testing (SEIT) organization in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will support B-52 Sustainment programs for Systems Engineering primarily interfacing with software teams, mission systems, logistics and program management.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced, Lead or Senior Level Engineers.

One position will be primarily serving as a Systems Engineer for ICSMS/ CONECT and another position will be to be the SEIT Lead for an AEHF Proposal /Risk Reduction program.

Position Responsibilities:

Experienced (Level 3)

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.

  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Lead (Level 4)

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.

  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

  • Develops, maintains, and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.

Senior (Level 5)

  • Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.

  • Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Leads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

  • Leads, develops, maintains, and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 3+ years of related systems engineering/project engineering work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Excel / Data Analytics

  • Ability to obtain a U. S. Top Secret security clearance post-start.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

  • Knowledge and/or experience in MSOSA or Model Based Systems Engineering

  • Experience using DOORS or a similar type of requirements software.

  • Experience writing documents such as CDRLs that will be delivered to customers.

  • Experience developing proposals.

  • Knowledge and/or experience applying AI to solve logistical problems (forecasting spare parts, estimating timelines to repair parts based on past experience, creating / maintaining dashboards.
