Job description

Account Manager
  • Primarily second shift; however, hours may vary based on operational needs. Flexibility is required.
  • Bilingual perferred.

Job Functions:

Management:

  • Responsible for the overall satisfaction, service quality, and operational performance of assigned healthcare and medical accounts.
  • Ensure company policies, customer procedures, scopes of work, and site-specific healthcare requirements are followed.
  • Work with Operations, Human Resources, Safety, Sales, KleenMark Distribution, and customer healthcare representatives as needed.
  • Supervise cleaning technicians and site supervisors, including staffing, scheduling, coverage, training, and performance management.

Financial Management

  • Responsible for the financial success of the accounts/territory.
  • Maintain and evaluate account activity summary as well as payroll and budget reports.
  • Complete paperwork as needed and monitor and analyze payroll and budget reports.
  • Actively sell services and products to current and prospective clients to increase revenue.

Customer Relations

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare clients and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain the Quality Assurance Program through KleenMark Connect and conduct regular business reviews with customers.
  • Conduct routine inspections of patient rooms, exam rooms, operating rooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces to ensure high-quality cleaning and disinfection.
  • Address customer requests, complaints, infection-prevention concerns, and service issues promptly; investigate and follow through to completion.
  • Participate in healthcare account start-ups, transitions, special projects, terminal cleanings, and service expansions as required.
  • Grow and develop customer accounts by providing consistent service and bundling appropriate services and consumable products.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Employee Development

  • Work closely with HR to support recruiting, onboarding, training, workers' compensation, employee relations, attendance, and corrective action.
  • Coach, develop, motivate, and train employees on healthcare cleaning, disinfecting, customer service, and safety expectations.
  • Ensure employees have the uniforms, identification, supplies, equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment needed to perform their jobs safely.
  • Conduct and organize site-specific training on patient-room cleaning, exam-room cleaning, operating-room cleaning, terminal cleaning, Bloodborne Pathogens, and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Ensure employees perform all cleaning and disinfecting functions according to the scope of work, KleenMark standards, and customer procedures.
  • Complete employee performance reviews and verify ongoing competency and required training records on time.

Professional Development

  • Participate in quarterly Account Manager training and healthcare cleaning or infection-prevention training as assigned.
  • Participate in professional development activities that support leadership, healthcare environmental services, infection prevention, safety, and business growth.

Safety

  • Works to promote safe work environment for all customers, employees and building occupants
  • Follows and enforces KleenMark’s safety programs, safety rules, monthly safety topics
  • Assist HR when necessary, in the case of accidents on the job (documents, photos, etc.)
  • Work with HR/Injured employee to properly document the accident.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to be flexible and multitask. Must understand Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education and Experience:

3 to 5 years of related experience, or additional years of education and experience are required. College degree in Business Administration or other business-related area of discipline preferred.
