Human Resources Manager

Base pay is based on experience. Position is open to any of our branches (Madison, Milwaukee, Appleton)

Job Summary:

As HR Manager you will lead and manage the human resources department. Role will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. This role plays a crucial role in fostering a positive a productive work environment for all employees and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

Essential functions:

· Supervises human resources team and provides coaching and mentoring to team members to ensure alignment with the organization’s objectives.

· Ensures the efficient completion of projects and sets clear performance expectations for team members.

· Monitors and evaluates team members performance providing regular feedback and performance reviews.

· Addresses employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances and work to resolve them in a fair and timely manner.

· Promotes a positive work culture by developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives that are inline with our core values.

· Monitors and reports on employee satisfaction and morale.

· Develops, implements, and maintains Employee Handbook and HR policies/procedures in compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.

· Creates content and conducts regular training sessions for employees and managers on HR related topics.

· Oversees the performance management process ensuring that it is conducted fairly and consistently.

· Provides guidance and support to managers addressing performance issues and helping employees meet their goals.

· Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

· Manages and provides planning and direction for all benefit, retirement and compensation programs as well as maintain relationships with outside administrators and benefit broker and carriers.

· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Manages workers compensation, unemployment claims, FMLA, and other leaves of absences.

· Oversees effective onboarding and management of new accounts/startups, ensuring a smooth transition with Human Resources.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS programs, and other related software.

· Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.

· At least 5-7 years HR experience required.

· Bilingual Spanish preferred.

· SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification.
