Are you a people person with a knack for staying organized? If so, this role may be for you. We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team and serve as the welcoming face of our organization.

About the Role

This is a part-time, in-person position (up to 30 hours per week) that blends HR support with front desk responsibilities. You'll play a vital role in helping us attract great talent, set new employees up for success, and ensure every visitor feels welcome from the moment they walk through our doors. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and love working with people — we'd love to hear from you!

Please note: This position is currently classified as temporary (up to 6 months). However, depending on sustained workload and organizational needs, there is a real possibility that the role could transition into a regular part-time position for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Recruitment Support (60%) — Post job openings, screen applications, coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and keep applicant tracking records accurate and up to date
  • Onboarding (20%) — Prepare new-hire paperwork, coordinate orientation schedules, and serve as a warm, welcoming point of contact for new employees during their first days
  • Front Desk & Visitor Management (10%) — Greet visitors, manage building access, answer phones and emails, and maintain a professional reception area
  • General HR Support (10%) — Assist the HR team with administrative tasks, employee file maintenance, compliance efforts, and occasional event coordination

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Professional, friendly demeanor with a customer-service mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment

Preferred (but not required):

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in HR, administration, or a customer-facing role
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms
  • Prior front desk or receptionist experience
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices and employment law

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a part-time, in-person role working up to 30 hours per week on set weekday hours determined by departmental needs. This position requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer work, as well as the ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
