N&M's team of skilled truck drivers, forklift operators, mechanics and office employees work together to provide a superior next-day transportation service that positively affects our local economy.
Job Summary: N&M Transfer has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Human Resources Specialist at our corporate office in Neenah. We are looking for an HR Specialist to start in June 2026 and work through the end of December 2026. This position will include experience in a variety of human resources related areas such as: talent acquisition, HRIS projects, HR support, employee relations, and/or benefits administration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the HR team on a full spectrum of activities
  • Help cover/back-up HR Assistant duties to include:
    • Record keeping of certificates, trainings, applications, timesheets, and write ups;
    • Preparation of new hire orientation packets; and
    • Processing of employee terminations including updating personnel files, producing term communications both internally and for exiting employee, and system updates. Among other duties.
  • Assist Recruiters with and participate in full-cycle talent acquisition and onboarding
  • Support HRIS projects.
  • Assist with production of training materials for new HRIS and then helping to execute the training of employees on system usage
  • Help Benefits Coordinator with benefits administration and open enrollment as needed
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Be in pursuit of a Human Resources degree or similar
  • Strong desire to learn in a variety of areas
  • Sense of curiosity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail oriented with good organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as needed
