Summary:

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruiting and hiring process and ensuring a smooth, engaging onboarding experience for new employees. This role focuses on attracting top talent, coordinating hiring activities, and helping new hires successfully integrate into the organization. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in shaping the end-to-end employee experience, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and high-quality journey from first interaction through long-term retention.

Role and Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment (job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer process)
  • Collaborate with Leaders to understand staffing needs and role requirements ahead of job posting (Mission Statement, 30/60/90, Interview Prep detail etc.)
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline through job boards, social media, and networking
  • Support and collaborate with external staffing partners as needed
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interviews
  • Coordinate candidate logistics, including booking travel (flights, hotels, rental cars) for interviews, as needed
  • Collaborate closely with Leaders through candidate evaluation, interview, and final selection phases
  • Prepare offer letters, agreements, and new hire documentation
  • Ensure a positive, timely, and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment and hiring process
  • Track and report recruitment metrics

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Create, coordinate, and execute onboarding processes that ensure new hires feel welcomed and prepared
  • Partner with Leaders to create onboarding plans and training schedules
  • Coordinate new hire logistics, including booking travel (flights, hotels, rental cars) for onboarding and training as needed
  • Serve as primary point of contact and maintain positive and informative communication with new hires between offer acceptance and start date
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and company introductions
  • Ensure completion of all onboarding paperwork and compliance requirements

Employee Experience

  • Own and enhance the end-to-end candidate and employee experience from first contact through onboarding and long-term retention
  • Serve as a key driver of Buechel Stone Corp's Clear Career Navigator process, partnering with Leaders to ensure a structured and consistent new hire experience through the first 90-days and beyond.
  • Collaborate with HR team to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives
  • Promote company culture, values, and well-being initiatives
  • Gather feedback from employees to continuously improve processes and identify new hire experience factors that impact employee retention
  • Track and report retention metrics

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS
  • Partner with Leaders to maintain up to date job descriptions, mission statements, and 30/60/90 plans
  • Ensure recruitment and onboarding processes comply with labor laws and company policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve hiring and onboarding efficiency
  • Support employer branding and talent acquisition strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in recruitment, HR, or talent acquisition
  • Strong knowledge of hiring practices and onboarding processes
  • Experience with ATS and HRIS systems
  • Technologically Proficient
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
