We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a broad range of people operations for our Appleton, Wisconsin team within the manufacturing industry. This position serves as a key resource for employees and leaders, helping maintain a positive workplace, guide employee matters with professionalism, and keep core HR activities running efficiently. The role also contributes to hiring, onboarding, compliance, and process improvement efforts that strengthen the overall employee experience.


Responsibilities:

โ€ข Advise supervisors and team members on workplace concerns, HR practices, performance matters, development planning, compensation topics, and employee relations issues.

โ€ข Work closely with business leaders to identify workforce challenges early and recommend practical HR solutions aligned with operational goals.

โ€ข Evaluate employee engagement trends and help create initiatives that foster an inclusive, supportive, and productive work environment.

โ€ข Support the execution of performance review cycles, compensation activities, and talent planning processes through clear communication and consistent administration.

โ€ข Lead new employee orientation and onboarding activities to help new hires integrate quickly and successfully into the organization.

โ€ข Monitor HR practices for compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations and reporting obligations.

โ€ข Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, maintain accurate employee records in HR systems such as Workday, and assist with leave administration.

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
โ€ข At least 3 years of experience in a generalist-level human resources position.
โ€ข Solid understanding of employment law, HR administration, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, and talent management.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and make sound, balanced decisions.
โ€ข Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and support employees at all organizational levels.
โ€ข Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and organization in a fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using HRIS platforms, preferably Workday.
