Job Summary

As a Home Manager at Rakhma Homes, you will play a crucial role in leading our team and ensuring the well-being of our residents. You will be responsible for:

  • Team Leadership: Overseeing a team of dedicated care staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Manage and support on-call schedule (Home Manager responsible to cover at least one shift per week and on-call as needed)
  • Resident Care: Implementing and support development of personalized care plans, coordinating with medical professionals, and fostering a supportive environment for our residents.
  • Operations Management: Managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (including food safe certified), and managing the home's budget.
  • Family/Volunteer Engagement: Building strong relationships with resident families and volunteers, providing regular updates, and addressing their concerns.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing quality improvement initiatives and conducting regular assessments to maintain high standards of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Staff Management:
    • Train, and supervise direct care staff (including supporting hiring process)
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback
    • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations
    • Manage staff schedules and timekeeping
  • Resident Care:
    • Implement and support development of individualized care plans
    • Coordinate with medical professionals and family members
    • Monitor resident health and well-being
    • Facilitate engaging activities and social interactions
  • Operations Management:
    • Manage the home's budget and resources
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
    • Plan, order, and oversee implementation of a nutritious menu (including food safety certified)
    • Manage facility cleanliness and tour readiness
    • Communicate needed facility maintenance and oversee safety protocols
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
  • Family Engagement:
    • Build strong relationships with resident families
    • Provide regular updates on resident progress and well-being
    • Address family concerns and questions
  • Quality/Safety Assurance:
    • Implement quality/safety improvement initiatives
    • Conduct regular assessments and audits
    • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement

Wages & Benefits

  • $25-30/hour (depending upon education and experience) + performance bonuses, + OT over 40 hours, + on-call bonuses

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Management, or related field preferred
    • OR 5 years in a residential group home with leadership and management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience to exceed five years. (Higher wage structure for LALD)·
  • Experience in a residential program serving seniors, people with disabilities or other related models; residential memory care experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing senior care preferred
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)

Physical Demands

  • Use of office equipment, to include computer, printer, copier, fax machine, with extended periods of sitting.
  • Time “on the floor”, as needed, to fulfill needs of the staff and residents. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking, bending, stooping, twisting, full range of motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Driving between residences throughout Twin Cities area.
