These jobs may not ever be noticed by the patient - in fact, when done well they shouldn't be noticed - but they are an important part of making that patient's experience a positive one. Our Health Information Coordinators are just this kind of job. They set the stage that allows high quality health care to happen.

* Assist department leadership with the coordination of essential HIM functions and workflows.

* Assist with process improvement and standardization of HIM workflow.

* Conduct quality reviews for focused studies related to accreditation requirements.

* Monitor work queues and manage system issues.

* Perform HIM essential functions and workflow duties, as needed, in the department.

* Serve as subject matter expert on essential HIM functions and workflows.

* Answer inquiries from departments regarding the HIM system and resolve issues or escalate, as appropriate.

* Participate in the planning and testing of new systems and upgrades.

* Flexible work location onsite at one of our Franciscan locations: Indianapolis IN, Hammond IN, Lafayette IN

QUALIFICATIONS

* Required Associate's Degree Health Information Management

* 2 years Healthcare setting Preferred

* Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) required
