Job description

Our client is seeking a driven and detailoriented Health Program Specialist I to support the development, coordination, and evaluation of healthfocused initiatives that impact communities at scale. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data, strategy, and community engagement-helping ensure that programs are not only compliant and wellmanaged, but meaningful and effective in practice.
In this position, you'll serve as a key resource and subject matter expert, partnering with stakeholders to guide program implementation, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. Success in this role requires a thoughtful balance of analytical skill and human insight-someone who can translate data into direction, maintain strong relationships, and execute with precision in a dynamic environment.
Essential Duties

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned health programs, providing guidance, oversight, and strategic input.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to monitor program performance, identify service gaps, and support effective implementation.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisionmaking and measure outcomes.
  • Support grant and contract coordination, including development of agreements and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Monitor program budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with established guidelines and objectives.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
  • Prepare clear, professional reports, presentations, and communications to convey program activities and results.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to all applicable policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in health science, behavioral science, public health, or a closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in areas such as data analysis, program development, program evaluation, health education, or related services;
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong program planning, coordination, and implementation capabilities.
  • Experience supporting contract or grantfunded initiatives and ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.

  • Compensation: $30.85 - $35.11 per hour, depending on experience
  • Schedule: Hybrid work environment (combination of inoffice and remote work preferred)
