The Role at a Glance
The Supervisor, HR Admin leads a team of HR Data Specialists within L'Oréal's BEST HR shared services function. This role is responsible for overseeing the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of HR data and administrative operations across the employee lifecycle. The Supervisor sets the standard for data quality, workflow efficiency, and service excellence - coaching the team, managing escalations, and serving as the subject matter expert for HR administration and HRIS data governance. The ideal candidate is a people-first leader who is equally comfortable diving into data as they are developing their team and driving continuous improvement.
People Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Data Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and service excellence.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s, and deliver formal performance reviews.
  • Manage workload distribution across the team to ensure balanced capacity and adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training plans to upskill team members across HRIS platforms, data governance, and HR administrative processes.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for complex, sensitive, or ambiguous HR data and administrative cases.
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs (data accuracy rate, resolution time, ticket volume, employee satisfaction) and implement corrective actions as needed.

Data Quality, Governance & Reporting
  • Establish, enforce, and continuously refine data quality standards across all HR data transactions in SuccessFactors and other HRIS platforms.
  • Review and approve high-risk or escalated HR data transactions to ensure integrity and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track data accuracy, open case volumes, SLA performance, and team productivity metrics.
  • Lead regular audits of HR data to proactively identify discrepancies and ensure alignment across systems.
  • Partner with HR Technology and HR Excellence teams on process improvements, system upgrades, and UAT testing.
  • Serve as a champion for data governance standards across the BEST HR function, reinforcing consistent and compliant data handling practices.

HR Administration & Compliance Oversight
  • Oversee the accurate and timely execution of all HR administrative tasks managed by the team, including:
    • HR data entry and maintenance in SuccessFactors and related HRIS platforms.
    • Contract generation and document uploads.
    • Workflow administration and case management via ServiceNow.
    • Employee Verification requests.
    • Tuition Reimbursement processing.
    • HR policy questions and policy acknowledgement facilitation.
    • Time Off management (vacation, PTO, Summer Hours, WFH, etc.).
    • Unemployment claims processing
    • Scheduling Employee exit interviews
    • Ensuring compliance and completion of employee exit checklists
  • Ensure all HR administrative processes comply with applicable policies, regulations, and data governance standards.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge articles for the team.
  • Lead or sponsor HR training sessions for the broader HR community on system upgrades and process changes.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner closely with local and zone HRBPs, HR Specialists, Payroll, Benefits, Mobility, and Finance teams to resolve complex data and administrative cases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR Excellence teams on data quality feedback loops, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Represent the HR Admin function in cross-functional projects, system implementations, and HR Operations initiatives.
  • Ensure HRBPs are proactively informed of data anomalies or situations relevant to their employee populations.

Continuous Improvement & Culture
  • Proactively identify recurring data issues, process gaps, and inefficiencies - escalating to HR Excellence with actionable recommendations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive greater efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across the HR Admin function.
  • Foster a team culture of curiosity, precision, and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to a multicultural, inclusive team environment aligned with L'Oréal's values.

What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, HR Data Administration, Shared Services, or a related function.
  • 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS data entry, auditing, and transaction management - this is a key differentiator for this role.
  • Strong case management experience; ServiceNow experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors or another enterprise HRIS platform strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel - required).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills - essential for this role.
  • Multicultural mindset and continuous improvement orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Spanish language proficiency - highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll data and timekeeping logic.
