HR Administrator

Clayton Services is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join a growing company in the Houston area. This position will work closely with the HR Manager and provide hands-on support across a variety of Human Resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, employee records, and general HR operations. The HR Administrator will also provide limited purchasing and administrative support to other areas of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys variety, working with employees, and contributing in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 Benefits: Excellent benefits are available after the successful completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) w/ match, PTO, and more.

HR Administrator Responsibilities:
  • Support the HR Manager with day-to-day Human Resources operations and administrative functions.
  • Assist with recruiting activities, including candidate coordination, interview scheduling, and hiring documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure required employment documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Maintain employee personnel files, HR records, and confidential documentation.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, employee changes, documentation, and employee questions.
  • Provide payroll support using ADP and assist with maintaining accurate payroll-related information.
  • Process employee changes and maintain documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Respond to routine employee questions and provide professional support to employees and internal departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, payroll, benefits, and other sensitive information.
  • Assist with office supply ordering and other routine purchasing activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to internal departments as needed.
  • Help maintain accurate, organized, and efficient HR processes and records.
HR Administrator Skills and Abilities:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Working knowledge of ADP required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Professional and approachable when interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.

HR Administrator Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources, HR coordination, HR administration, or related experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP required.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, payroll, and/or recruiting strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Previous purchasing or general administrative support experience is a plus.
