Job description

Human Resources Administrator

The Human Resources Administrator manages the day-to-day administrative functions of the Human Resources Department. This position handles employee records, assists with recruitment and onboarding and supports payroll and benefits administration. They also ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and maintain a smooth flow of HR processes.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital
  • Assist with job postings and managing the onboarding process.
  • Review and audit weekly timesheets and make notes for payroll processing.
  • Manage the performance review process.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and communicated effectively.
  • Stay informed about and adhering to labor laws and regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including managing HR documents and files.
  • Generate HR reports as needed.
  • Assist with implementing training programs.
  • Assist with safety programs as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive individual, customer and organization data without exception.
  • Performs other duties as required or requested.

Requirements

Knowledge and Education

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in HR or equivalent preferred, some college required, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic employment laws and regulations required.

Experience

  • Two plus years' experience in Human Resources Administration required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Good people and customer interaction skills.
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to details; meticulous in ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and other HR-related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems – operational, customer, and employee.
  • Customer service skills related to interaction with resolving employee inquiries.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and demanding environment.
