Job description

About the Role

This is a regional execution and coordination role combining Global Mobility expertise with HR support responsibilities in the Americas. The role is responsible for managing and coordinating all global mobility cases across North America and Latin America, ensuring full alignment with global mobility policies, governance, and ways of working, as defined by the Global Mobility team. In parallel, the role supports the regional HR function on operational topics, acting as a bridge between local HR priorities and global frameworks.

Job Responsibilities Include

Global Mobility Coordination

  • Act as the regional point of contact for Global Mobility in the Americas
  • Coordinate all international assignments and cross-border moves within North America and Latin America
  • Ensure all mobility cases are managed in line with global policies, governance, and processes
  • Manage the end-to-end assignment lifecycle, including initiation, changes, extensions, and repatriation/localization
  • Coordinate US immigration processes, including work permits and green card applications
  • Manage and coordinate US domestic relocations in line with company policy
  • Partner with external vendors (immigration, tax, relocation) and ensure service delivery and timelines

Compliance, Risk & Advisory

  • Identify and escalate tax, social security, and compliance risks, including Permanent Establishment (PE) exposure
  • Ensure all cases are compliant with US and regional regulations
  • Maintain proper documentation, tracking, and reporting of all mobility activities
  • Support governance by ensuring transparency and consistency across all cases
  • Monitor and stay current on legislative and regulatory changes that may impact mobility program and proactively communicate implications and required actions with the Leadership Team and GM population
  • Coordinate with Payroll to confirm accurate reporting, tax treatment and adherence to applicable regulations. Manage gross-up and year end reporting processes.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to country teams (local HR) to support compliance for mobility-related transactions ensuring alignment with local regulations, tax and payroll requirements, and company policies.

Mobility Calculations & Analytical Support

Support the Global Mobility team (global scope) with:

  • Net-to-net calculations
  • Assignment cost projections
  • Annual Compensation Review processes for assignees
  • Scenario modelling for international moves
  • Contribute to data accuracy and cost visibility for mobility decision-making
  • Prepare and manage the budget for all mobility cases (LTA, STA, Local +, Local etc) ensuring relocation costs including gross ups and related expenses are added to budget.  Coordinate accruals with accounting.  Track, reconcile and monitor expenses to ensure they are recorded and aligned with budget forecasts.

 

HR Responsibilities (Regional Support)

  • Support the North America HR team on operational HR topics and employee-related matters
  • Act as a partner to managers and employees on HR-related questions
  • Support onboarding, employee support, and HR processes
  • Ensure alignment between local HR activities and global frameworks

About You

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Global Mobility, HR, or a combined role
  • Strong knowledge of US immigration processes (essential)
  • Solid understanding of international mobility frameworks, including tax and compliance basics
  • Experience working with external vendors (immigration, tax, relocation)
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to support mobility calculations
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization with dual reporting lines
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complexity and multiple cases simultaneously
