Job Title
Functional Architect
Summary of the role:
Be a functional and/or technical expertise entry point in Offer Optimization products, specifically Dynamic Pricing, for complex and cross functional/department solutions analysis/recommendation. This is a hybrid position and would you require you to be in the office 50% of the time.
Common accountabilities:
  • Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performs at a high level. Is recognized as a leader in own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.
  • Understands how main business drivers may impact on own area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.
  • Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects.
  • May contribute to planning of resources and budget.

Solution Definition and Implementation
  • Be involved in pre-sales or upsell activities.
  • Interact with Product Managers or and directly with the customers to ensure a full understanding of the business needs and customer constraints. Combine focus on customer expectations and integration of Amadeus strategy for any proposal.
  • Contribute to break vision down into achievable actions while keeping global consistency and feasibility over areas.
  • Present solution recommendations to all stakeholders with the ability to explain complex technical information in simple ways to a diverse audience.
  • Responsible for planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems.
  • Scope and size the mission, define deliverables. Involve and coordinate PDA, DEV teams when gaps are identified. Coordinate the activity of other technical consulting analysts for large projects/services. Define action plans and guidelines
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of client business activity including processes, tools, skills/knowledge, organization, structure, strategy and objectives. Understands a broad spectrum of the company's technology to deliver part of a detailed technical design, which meets customer requirements.
  • Assist customers in solution definition and implementation.
  • Monitor business impact of implemented actions on business performance and efficiency and identify additional improvement opportunities.
  • Provide detailed feedback on the clients' daily usage of the systems and on identified limitations to Product.

Management and Product Definition teams
  • Help sustaining the quality of the products, as used by our customers, hand in hand with Product Definition and Developer teams. Influence the internal product evolution based on feedback collected by translating customer needs and feedback into detailed business requirements.
  • Foster the conversation among teams within the train and program to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements and consistent product solutions.
  • Go beyond own domain of expertise, embrace a wider scope. Investigate all the impacts on Amadeus Solutions and Products that are provided to clients and ensure that they are properly handled and solved by the accurate teams
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of client business activity including processes, tools, skills/knowledge, organization, structure, strategy and objectives.
  • Build a network of POCs in various functional areas.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence and act as a model for job-related activities.
  • Apply the best practices in project and risk management to ensure constant, incremental value delivery.

Customer relationship management
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with Key Stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Support Customers in understanding the Amadeus organization, processes, and solutions, including the gaps/changes delivered in the context of the project.
  • Work together with Customers to influence the transformation of their Change Management processes from a waterfall approach to an Agile mentality. Encourage the implementation of small-scale experiments and prototypes to build trust and confidence, decrease risk and guarantee continuous value delivery.
  • Collaborate in the preparation workshops and the regular SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) ceremonies in each Program Increment.
