Job description

Introduction
Werfen is a growing, family-owned, innovative company founded in 1966 in Barcelona, Spain. We are a worldwide leader in specialized diagnostics in the areas of Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, Transfusion, Autoimmunity, and Transplant. Through our Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) business line, we research, develop, and manufacture customized assays and biomaterials. We operate directly in 30 countries, and in more than 100 territories through distributors. Our Headquarters and Technology Centers are located in the US and Europe, and our workforce is more than 7,000 strong.
Our success comes from a specific focus in these rapidly evolving diagnostic areas, our commitment to customers, and our dedication to innovation and quality. We're passionate about providing healthcare professionals the most valuable and complete solutions to improve hospital efficiency and enhance patient care.
Overview
Job Summary
Werfen is seeking a highly strategic and customer-centric Director of Marketing, Hemostasis Solutions to lead the development and execution of global solution marketing strategies that accelerate growth, strengthen customer value, and differentiate Werfen's Hemostasis portfolio.
This leader will move beyond traditional product marketing to develop compelling end-to-end customer solutions that address the evolving needs of laboratories, clinicians, healthcare systems, and integrated care networks. The Director will translate market insights, customer challenges, clinical evidence, and workflow opportunities into value-based positioning, solution narratives, commercial programs, and value-added services that drive adoption and business performance.
Working across Global Product Management, Regional Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Service, Clinical Affairs, and Customer Experience teams, the Director will champion a customer-out approach that positions Werfen as the trusted partner in hemostasis diagnostics, automation, and laboratory transformation.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
  • Own the global solutions marketing strategy for the Hemostasis portfolio, leading the shift from product-centric messaging to workflow, operational, clinical, and economic solution positioning - and telling a compelling story of how Werfen's products, services, and teams transform labs worldwide.
  • Translate customer insight - Voice of Customer, journey mapping, and market, competitive, and reimbursement analysis - into differentiated value propositions tailored to distinct customer segments, buying personas, and care settings.
  • Partner with regional and country organizations to surface unmet needs and emerging opportunities, ensuring positioning stays consistent across regions, channels, and customer touchpoints.
  • Build the solution-selling toolkit - value calculators, ROI tools, business cases, customer narratives, and campaigns - that equips regional and commercial teams to drive adoption and retention.
  • Represent the customer and market requirements in portfolio strategy, partnering with Product Management to shape the pipeline and bridge upstream innovation with downstream execution.
  • Lead global commercialization and launch planning for new products and solutions.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, and key opinion leaders to build and disseminate the clinical, scientific, and economic evidence that reinforces customer value, and represent Werfen at congresses, conferences, and advisory boards.
  • Build, lead, and develop a new team of global marketers to own the Werfen Hemostasis brands - setting clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
  • Establish the KPIs and dashboards that track market share, adoption, pipeline generation, and portfolio performance, and translate them into strategic recommendations.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Budget Managed (if applicable):
  • To be determined (TBD)

Internal Networking/Key Relationships:
  • Regular interaction with members of Worldwide Marketing and Service, the commercial organization, R&D, Medical, RA/QA, Operations, Finance, Legal, and key opinion leaders in the relevant field.

Skills & Responsibilities:
  • Strong strategic marketing skills.
  • Excellent brand development and management skills
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience driving revenue growth, launch success and campaign ROI.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across global cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, forecasting, and business planning.
  • Ability to develop 3 year strategic plans, annual marketing plans, and product launch plans
  • Experience developing value-based customer propositions and solution-oriented marketing programs.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory diagnostics, hospital operations, healthcare economics, or clinical workflows a plus.
  • Global marketing experience within a matrixed organization strongly preferred.
  • Regional marketing experience driving customer and company results desired.

Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 25% of the time

Qualifications
Min Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communications or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the diagnostics industry as a Product Manager, Marketing Manager or Sales Manager

The annual base salary range for this role is currently $200,000 to $250,000. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.
