Description
It is an essential and basic job responsibility, as a Quality Assurance Technician to comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and current Good manufacturing practices. A quality assurance technician will work in a team based environment to ensure efficient production operations. At all times, a QA technician is expected to exemplify the highest level of business and personal integrity.
Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and circulating of all customer specifications
  • Ensuring that all customer specifications are released and filed in a timely manner
  • Customer purchase order and specifications must be read at all stages of production to ensure compliance
  • Acceptance of all paper and inks used in production. Review of the appropriate documentation prior to the release of any incoming paper/ink. Releasing the paper and ink into production in a timely manner
  • Proofreading and approving customer proofs using the electronic proofreading system AVIA and TVT
  • Verifying and documenting area clearance in all areas of production, including printing, cutting, folding, machine inspection, handwork and shipping areas.
  • Verifying and documenting all raw materials used in the production process
  • Approving jobs prior to printing. Ruling up a press sheet to ensure that the job is in position. Ensuring that the job complies with customer specifications. Proofreading the first press sheet produced using the AVIA proofreading system to ensure the job matches customer approved artwork. Proofreading a press sheet from each truck lift to ensure the job matches customer approved artwork
  • Creation of bindery labels to ensure that the folding department utilizes the appropriate trays used in production of a final product
  • Approving jobs prior to cutting. Verifying that the job is properly cut to ensure that it will fold according to customer specifications
  • Approving jobs in folding. Ensuring that the final fold is in accordance with customer specifications
  • Approving jobs in the machine inspection areas to ensure that the job complies with customer specification
  • Approving jobs in the shipping department to ensure that we meet all packing/shipping requirements
  • Creating and approving tray/core/carton/EZ labels used to identify the final product before being shipped to the customer
  • Performing batch record review prior to the shipment of any customer order to ensure that all the required documentation is included in the job jacket and that we have complied with the customer specifications
