Job description

The Library Communications Specialist, answers phone calls and/or live chat contacts from patrons of public libraries across North America. We essentially act as the Information Desk for the library, efficiently handling phone based patron inquiries, from the ease and comfort of your home.

This position requires:


  • Excellent use of the English language
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) highly preferred - $1 additional per hour
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • At least 6 months phone based customer service experience
  • Excellent keyboarding and computer skills
  • At least two years post high school education is highly desired
  • Must have reliable, high speed internet connection


Schedules:

  • Full-time, evenings & WEEKENDS (Saturdays are mandatory)
  • Weekday, Tues-Fri: 2:30pm EST - 11:00pm EST;
  • Saturday: 9am - 5pm EST
  • All positions must be available to work the initial 5-week training schedule: MON-FRI 8:30AM-5:00PM
