Freight Broker - Sales Track

Logistify

Plano, TX • On-site

Job description

About Logistify
Logistify is a freight brokerage headquartered in Las Vegas with satellite offices in Plano TX, Franklin TN, and Miami FL. We move truckload freight across the country for shippers in manufacturing, retail, food and beverage, and industrial sectors. Our team is small enough that you'll get real responsibility on day one and big enough that you'll have senior brokers to learn from.
MC 084659 / DOT 3114842.

About the Role:
We're hiring Freight Brokers, sales track only. This is a commission-driven seat for someone who wants to build and run their own book of business.

How the role works:
Your two months is a training period where you learn freight operations from the ground up: how loads move, how carriers get sourced, how customers communicate, and how money is made in this business. You'll work directly alongside senior brokers and ops staff.
After that first month, you're running your own book. You prospect, you sell, you own the customer relationship, and you grow your accounts. Compensation scales the more of the book you run yourself.

What you can actually earn:
Base is $42,000. Year one total earnings typically land between $42K and $75K as you build your book. The number that matters longer term is the ceiling. Our top performer is on track to make $800,000 this year. That is not a hypothetical, that is a real seat at our brokerage running a real book. Freight brokers here earn up to 40% commission on the margin they generate, so the more business you run yourself, the more you make.
If you want to be paid like a top earner, this is one of the few entry roles in the DFW market where that is actually on the table.
This is a commission-driven seat. If you want a role where the paycheck is the same every two weeks regardless of what you produce, this is not it. If you want a role where the paycheck scales with how hard you work and how well you sell, this is exactly it.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete a 2-month freight operations training program alongside senior team members.
  • Prospect new customers through cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
  • Manage the customer relationship from first call through booked freight.
  • Coordinate with carriers to secure capacity and negotiate rates
  • Own and grow your book of business.
  • Communicate with customers and carriers by phone and email throughout the day.
  • Track loads, resolve issues, and manage service execution.

What We're Looking For:
  • A Degree or background in Sales.
  • A track record of grinding for something (sport, job through school, side hustle, anything where you showed up and put in the work)
  • Competitive and self-motivated.
  • Strong communicator, especially on the phone and email.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, in-office environment (not hybrid, not remote).
  • Comfortable with commission-driven compensation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous internship or part-time work in sales, cold calling, hospitality, or logistics.
  • Experience in phone-based work (cold calling, door to door sales, customer service, hospitality).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
  • Any competitive background (athletics, competitive academics, entrepreneurship).

Compensation:
$42,000 base salary plus commission. Year one total earnings typically $42,000 to $75,000. Top performers earn well into six figures after year one.

Location:
Plano, TX (in-office only, not remote or hybrid)

Job Type:
Full-Time

How to Apply:
Apply directly through Better Team. Strong applications will be invited to a 20-minute phone screen with Connor Lilley, Director of National Accounts.
