Job description

Join Amhof Trucking, a leading asset-based carrier in eastern Iowa! We are seeking a motivated Freight Broker to handle overflow freight and expand our growing brokerage department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect, develop, and maintain a consistent book of direct shipper customers.
  • Secure spot and contractual freight opportunities exceeding company asset capacity.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with shippers and third-party carriers to maximize margins.
  • Quote rates quickly using TMS, DAT, and Truckstop.
  • Track shipments, dispatch carriers, and provide proactive updates to customers.

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of Transportation or Logistics experience (Preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; McLeod TMS & Samsara experience is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
