If you're passionate about the future of intelligent search, trusted AI, and enterprise knowledge mining, now is the perfect time to join a company that drives innovation on a global scale.
Role Overview
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping prospects and customers understand the value of Sinequa and how it can solve their most critical challenges.
You'll be part of a collaborative, high-energy team that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning.
You will partner closely with Sales Managers to guide organizations through their evaluation journey - from initial discovery to technical validation.
You will lead product demonstrations, manage proof-of-concept cycles, and provide expert guidance on how to tailor the product - including RAG, agents, and workflows - to meet specific business needs.
You are both a technical expert and a trusted advisor. You seamlessly bridge the gap between business and technology, translating customer requirements into impactful solutions and ensuring a smooth path to adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design and Customization:
  • Engage with prospects to gather technical and business requirements during discovery sessions.
  • Configure and customize the product - including AI/NLP models, data connectors, and Generative AI workflows - to align with customer requirements and maximize business value.
  • Adapt and extend the out-of-the-box user experience (UX/UI) to meet specific project needs.
  • Configure and present tailored demos and proof-of-concepts that showcase the value of our technology and reflect prospective use cases.
  • Advise prospects on best practices for enterprise search, AI usage, and data access strategies.

Technical Expertise:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Sinequa's product, security standards and integration capabilities.
  • Articulate technical benefits and capabilities of the product in alignment with customer use cases.
  • Understand and interpret customer data environments (on-prem and cloud) to ensure seamless integration and adequate enrichment of content.
  • Provide technical input during RFP/RFI processes and respond to prospect questionnaires.

Client Engagement:
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, from engineers to C-level executives.
  • Lead technical workshops and Q&A sessions to educate clients and deepen their understanding of the product.
  • Lead technical pre-sales activities such as product demos and proof-of-concept (POC) cycles, tailored to customer industries and use cases.
  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the technical evaluation process.

Collaboration:
  • Partner with Sales Managers to support complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles, including technical discovery, solution design, and executive-level presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success and Operations teams to ensure successful deployments, meet SLAs, and deliver continuous value.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and R&D to influence roadmap priorities, resolve issues, and advocate for feature enhancements.

Cross-Industry Adaptability:
  • Confidently tailor technical presentations and demos across diverse verticals.
  • Manage multiple active opportunities at various stages of the sales cycle.
  • Adapting to customer needs and fast-changing technical environments.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our verticalized solutions in strategic industries such as private equity, legal, and consulting.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, Engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering / technical role
  • Experience in a client facing role (internal or external customers) or strong desire to work closely with customers.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with an understanding of the importance of timely and effective problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Technical curiosity and a hands-on mindset - Excitement for new technologies and understanding how things work under the hood.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot code written in Angular and at least one backend language (e.g., C#, Java, or C++).
  • Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL Databases.
  • Comfortable navigating and understanding systems within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Windows and Azure Cloud Services.

Bonus Points
  • Experience with search engines, relevancy tuning, or large-scale indexing
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools, prompt engineering, or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
  • Background in legal, private equity, M&A or consulting is a plus
  • Experience configuring or demonstrating AI Assistant functionality
  • Proficiency in French

Why Join ChapsVision?
  • Opportunity to be part of a small team opening the North American market for ChapsVision
  • Be a key contributor to our go-to-market movement, with visibility and impact
  • Work on a strategic solution at the forefront of AI, search, and digital workplace transformation
  • Fast-growing, innovative environment with career advancement opportunities
  • Competitive salary structure with strong earning potential
